First report

Well it's been an OK day, except for a minor hiccup, I ate an awful lot of peanuts and I must emphasise to you "an awful lot". I did however take a 45 minute walk at the last minute to counteract my moments of weakness. Since it was my first bout of exercise in ages I wanted to take it easy, which meant I didn't exactly break out a sweat... However I figure, some exercise is better than none, at the very least it will help to kick start my metabolism and I will keep burning energy well into the night. I love the thought of losing weight while you sleep:) It's almost as good as the Krispy Kreme diet...

Today's intake

(B) Spanish Omlette with salad
(L) Rogan Josh squid stirfry (with vegies)
(D) Garlic and soy chicken with salad

4 coffees with milk
At least 5 LARGE handfuls of peanuts throughout the course of the day (YIKES...)
But the good news is, I didn't have any wine...

  1. Thank Goodness....

PS: I hope they are hidden well?

On a different note, I had the best night sleep in ages last night. I'm not sure if it's from last nights walk or my imagination? but either way I feel good. I guess it's a case of "Mind over matter"! literally...

  2. good start, Alex, peanuts are not good though. a tip for the peanuts situation - when you finish them all, don't buy more. it's much easier not to take it from shelves in supermarket than not to eat it when you know they are in the house.

  3. Hi Sherry, you are right I shouldn't buy them in the first place, but I couldn't resist because they were only $2.50 for 1kg.... such a bargain... but once they are gone no more...

Whilst on the subject of peanuts I suppose I should also fess up, I found Alan's secret spot for them...

PEANUTS, PEANUTS, PEANUTS oh why do you have to be so nice???

  5. HAha! Those wretched peanuts!!! I am wondering if people should do new year's resolutions in the middle of the year when the entire cupboard and fridge isn't full of leftovers from Christmas and New Year!! (I have one and a half Christmas cakes that are oozing deliciousness and brandy sitting on my kitchen counter beckoning me! And so many chocolates.......)
I haven't had any though - 4 days without anything bad and coffee! AAARRRGGGHHHHHH!

  6. Hi Em,

What a fabulous idea, a little bit like Christmas in July? Why not start the new year when the new financial year starts? It make sense to me? I wreckon you are onto something there? You know, any excuse for a party...

It's funny you mention the Christmas cake and pudding as I have been munching my way through it to. Since I started this I have only one piece of fruit cake, well I would of had more but we ate it all. NB, I haven't touched the pudding though, but I am sure that it has nothing to do with the fact that we don't have custard...

Good on you for not giving in to the post Christmas cheer, as we all know it's not that cheery trying to get it off. That is some serious will power going on there. And no coffee? I am impressed, how long did the headaches last for? My coffee withdrawals are that bad that I would rather have a migrane...in fact I am getting a headache just thinking about it.

    xxox Alex
