It’s the start of a new year and like most I have a new year’s resolution, yep you guessed it "to lose weight". So here is what I am going to do? I am going to keep a virtual diary with weekly updates. It will include • current weight • body measurements • energy consumption • exercise • thoughts, aka my pychological profile (warning contents may disturb some readers…) • progress pictures, ahhh the most embarrassing aspect of this process!

Week 3 weigh in
So sorry this is late, I had to leave early this morning...
Ok this is my third week and I am fairly happy with my progress, although I wish I could just take a pill and be done with it… (I’m not being ungrateful; I am just expressing a ludicrous notion out loud). This leads me to a thought that has been plaguing me for weeks. You know it’s a pretty screwed up world in which we live, as part of the world’s population is obese and there is a multimillion probably billion dollar market to cater for it, yet an even larger portion of the world’s population will not eat today and yet I am worried about eating too much today! Gee how did I get it so wrong? This is such a confronting subject that I’ve wanted to post for a while, but I was afraid that people would be turned off and not come back and check in, but I had to say it, so sorry. It’s my Tourette’s syndrome breaking through, but I edited the swearing!
Ok, back to the superficial aspect of things, this week’s progress is as follows:-

Thank you beautiful people
I just want to say a big THANK YOU, as over the last week I have been receiving texts, emails, facebook messages, comments and chats that encourage me to keep on going. I am really grateful for these words and I am also encouraged and inspired by other people and their own weight loss success.

What the...
Well I'm not sure what is going on? It's almost like I am not wanting to lose weight, as I seem to be eating and want to eat everything in my sight and unfortunately my sights are not on celery sticks.

Week 3 energy intake

Well this is not a good start to the week, so I guess I have had my guilt free day already... I'm blaming it on a BBQ at a friends house...
(B) Fruit, nuts & yoghurt
(L) Bean salad with crisp greens
(D) Steak, sausage, potato bake, macaroni salad, salad, bread roll
Snacks
3 coffees
Sushi
Carrot cake
2 pieces of mars bar slice
large bag of chips
5 glasses of wine
