I am looking on the bright side of things… If you have been reading what I have been eating you will no doubt gather that it’s not a surprise that I have regressed by half a kg and a few centimetres. But like I said in the heading “it could be worse”, lucky for those walks otherwise it would have been disastrous. Note to self “get back on track and don’t go out to lunch with friends or husband”.
It’s interesting, because one week I had a problem with peanuts and this week it was biscuits, I wonder what next weeks is going to be, celery sticks? I hope so…
Just for reference I am listing below the progress overall, however to the right it's the comparison between starting stats and current stats.
Measurements/stats | Start | Week 1 | Week 2 |
Weight | 84kg | 80.5kg | 81kg |
Upper arms | 34.5cm | 33cm | 33cm |
Neck | 36cm | 36cm | 36cm |
Bust | 109cm | 108cm | 106.5cm |
Waist | 97cm | 89cm | 90cm |
Hips | 111.5cm | 104cm | 105cm |
Thighs | 70cm | 69cm | 68cm |
Well, here is to next week, fingers crossed…
xoxo alex
Hey Alex... Congratulations on the great work and sticking with it. Two things..... An "increase" of 0.5kg (or even more) is NORMAL in your body due to fluid retention, which can occur naturally or can be exacerbated by such things as a particularly salty meal. I mean, you need to get it in perspective..... It's only 2 glasses of water!!!! Secondly, after an initial loss your body will have a bit of a "panic" that you're going to stop feeding it, so it will generally slow it's metabolism as a precautionary measure. Just keep on eating sensibly and often (as you are) and it will go off alert and your metabolism will kick back in again. Stick with it.... You're doing a great job!
ReplyDeletego girl!!!so excited for u and u r inspiring me too- i watched an interesting doco the other night on the physcological element to weight loss and i really identified with the fact hat some peeps r fearful of hunger so always eat to avoid that feeling - i see it as a negative scary thing that is happening to my body - the physcoligist said when losing weight there has to be an element of 'hunger pains' at some stage and a great way to overcome that fear is to try to view it in a positive way as in "hunger is my friend its helping me to lose weight because its my bodies way of telling me when to give it food" so simple but so impacting for me! i believe losing weight is mostly the head stuff hey? lib
ReplyDeleteYou're going really well Alex! Sch an encouragement to me! Keep up the good work!(And here's to finding a passion for celery sticks this week!!!!)
