Firstly, Al has a new phone and I found my tape measure so we are back in business. It's a little embarrasing because the tape measure was practically under my nose for 5 days. I have to admit I did have a 'boy look' i.e. I didn't move things to see if it was behind them. It was behind a box on the tall boy next to my desk and I might just add that there isn't much on the tall boy... I don't know, maybe I lost my glasses too...
OK not a lot to say this week, other than I feel like I am drifting further and further away from my target. I seem to be having a junk food allowance everyday as opposed to occasionally. Thankfully though my stats have not shifted a great deal, so all I have to do now is get back in the right frame of mind. I guess the good thing is, I am usually eating 2 good meals out of three, so it's not a total disaster. This may mean that I am in the process of making a lifestyle shift by TRYING to choose healthier options on a regular basis. I know this sounds contradictory to the first part of this paragraph, however, at present it's harder to make the right choice and I find I am forcing myself. I can't wait for the day when I will actually prefer an apple over a mars bar. I should also mention that I didn't walk once this week. I'm not sure if it's the pressure of assessments looming, the fact that the cold weather is setting in or that the sunlight is coming later and disappearing sooner?
In summary, I guess I am out of whack becaue I am not taking a holistic approach to life!
Well, here's to a week of re-balancing...
It’s the start of a new year and like most I have a new year’s resolution, yep you guessed it "to lose weight". So here is what I am going to do? I am going to keep a virtual diary with weekly updates. It will include • current weight • body measurements • energy consumption • exercise • thoughts, aka my pychological profile (warning contents may disturb some readers…) • progress pictures, ahhh the most embarrassing aspect of this process!
Come with me on my weight loss journey, I look forward to your comments including your advice, ideas, personal experiences, recipes and progress... read on...
